Pram below

Blinding sunlight from the south after the clouds went on their way.

Wet wall

Stuck in traffic on the old dock road.  Scenic it's not.

Gull city

Amazing what a little bit of flooding can do to popularise an area.

Tempted....

....to have a lie down.

It's not as if we had many customers around.

Final shop day of 2013.

Time disappears, the dishes don't

A late one today.  At 13.57 I was sweating over a hot stove, preparing lunch for friends, so my mind was anywhere but on photo taking.

So here's the aftermath.  There's more on the other side of the kitchen....

Nice meal though.

Ooh, that's puntastic!

No it's not, it's terrible, and whoever's responsible should be ashamed.

They even sent out promotion material made to look like flight tickets.  Bluuurgh.

Paperwork, paperwork....

Form filling to the left of him, form filling to the right of him....

Anyone still believe in the paperless office (or shop)?

Made to go where?

Tebay services, southbound, M6

The only place I'm being made to go is back to Southport :-(

But then we're off out to dinner with good friends.  A pissed and well fed night ahead. :-)

High Street

The High Kirk of Saint Giles.  And that bloke Smith.

The high winds have gone.  Sunshine and .... bloody cold now.

My favourite spot

Newhaven Harbour.

Look closely and you can just about make out the Forth Bridge.

The shop, the car park and the yacht

If that isn't a sure fire hit film title I don't know what is.

The Britannia, sat outside the Ocean Terminal shopping centre in Leith.

Building site

First block of several by the looks of it.

Handy for the docks....

Watch the wheel

The statue has a good view of the people going round in Edinburgh's Xmas big wheel.

Has it really come to this?

Waiting for coffee and cake in a John Lewis cafe.  Rock 'n Roll.

I am now officially old, boring and middle class.

Shut up.

Sandy

What a man.  Sits there every day, no matter the weather, and has women flocking to sit on his lap.

Laughter brings us together

This pair came to the comedy club on their own and she sat at his table.  At the end, having laughed together, they had a nice chat, smiled a lot and parted as if they were best friends.  Lovely to see.

She didn't offer him any of her lunch though.

Joannas

Why does it seem like eveyone is giving up their old pianos?   In the charity shop where I work we've had seven come in during the past two weeks.  Five are still on the shop floor, priced betwen £50 and £100. Normally we'd only see one every couple of months.

Also old sewing machines, some dating back to the thirties.  We've had six of them recently.

But not a single guitar, a shame for the guy who omes in at least twice a week to ask if we've had one in.
