Gutted

A lot of the old working men's pubs around here are closing down.

This one is currently having its innards ripped out to re-emerge as.... who knows what?

Wind pipes

At wonderful display in the Art Festival.

Barbara knocked out a bit of You Are My Sunshine, I managed a vaguely recognisable version of Moon River.  Colour coded charts, music notation for idiots, was the key (pun intended....).

Another photo might make help make some sense of that last sentence -

But the main point is - it was fun.

Car park

And the gardeny bit in the middle.

Anthropologie

From the outside it looks like a posh frock shop.

Inside it's a posh frock and things shop.  They have all the things.

They have price tags that are taking the piss.

We were there for the live music.

We were there for the Free live music.

But there are some lovely door knobs.  If that's your thing.

The stranger in the car

Sat in the back of a stationery car with a Twitter stranger taking part in an audio experience.  Weird, intimate and enthralling.

Want to do it again.

Post-Hindsight

Cheating.  At 13.57 I was watching the wonderful comic play Hindsight in the Assembly Rooms.  So this out in the lobby after the show.  Still laughing.

On the march

The anti-fascist demo against the SDL getting close to Holyrood.  There were a lot more of us than there were of them.

Tasttee Maid

Well, so it says on the van.

In reality another rubbishy street show.  Oh well.

Exit

I'd say this was the best bit of Asda, but the till staff are always a cheery bunch here.

Spiegeltent

At the Fringe by the Sea, North Berwick, to see Jules and the Blue Garnets

On the street

One of myriad street acts in Fringeland.

This was not one of the better ones.  The poor sod in the cream top was a very bemused looking audience member.  Sooner him than me.

Planning

All that project management training wasn't totally wasted.

Getting round all these Fringe shows doesn't just happen by itself.
