Watch the wheel

The statue has a good view of the people going round in Edinburgh's Xmas big wheel.

Has it really come to this?

Waiting for coffee and cake in a John Lewis cafe.  Rock 'n Roll.

I am now officially old, boring and middle class.

Shut up.

Sandy

What a man.  Sits there every day, no matter the weather, and has women flocking to sit on his lap.

Laughter brings us together

This pair came to the comedy club on their own and she sat at his table.  At the end, having laughed together, they had a nice chat, smiled a lot and parted as if they were best friends.  Lovely to see.

She didn't offer him any of her lunch though.

Joannas

Why does it seem like eveyone is giving up their old pianos?   In the charity shop where I work we've had seven come in during the past two weeks.  Five are still on the shop floor, priced betwen £50 and £100. Normally we'd only see one every couple of months.

Also old sewing machines, some dating back to the thirties.  We've had six of them recently.

But not a single guitar, a shame for the guy who omes in at least twice a week to ask if we've had one in.

Obvious really

But there's not been much photography related activity there for a few years.  Killed by digital.

Pens

Plenty of the little buggers there now, but they don't half like going on walkabout if they get the chance.

Sofabed

Not a very interesting photo, except as a sign of the times.

Normally we'd never have a sofabed unfolded for display like this, there just wouldn't be enough room.  But donations of furniture, especially beds, have been so low recently that there is plenty of space to fill.  Which may suggest people are being forced to hang on to old items for longer, which presumably has a knock on to the sales of new furniture.  So much for Mr Osborne's 'recovery'....

How to carry parsley

A instructional pic today.

Other pedestrians though I should give my rucksack a clean more often.
